Assembly's 2023 Year in Review

In 2023, the legal software industry continued to grow, and Assembly Software was no exception, with company growth up remarkably year-over-year since 2021. With strategic investments and several accomplishments acknowledged by the industry, we are grateful to our customers, dedicated employees, strategic partners, industry experts, and trade publications for making this year a success. As we conclude the year, we want to highlight the top achievements that made it a fantastic year for Assembly, from the innovative features added to Neos to the industry awards we earned. 





Released 43 new Neos features and enhancements 

Over 12 months, we released 43 new Neos features and enhancements that have helped our customers achieve greater success.  Here are some of our favorites: 



• Neos Premium Texting - Simplify communication and track all messages in one place in entire conversation threads. 
• Case Budgets (#1 Customer Request) - Visible in the case header and funds section, allow users to create a budget for a case and a warning threshold for when a case reaches a configurable percentage of this budget. The case budget is configurable at the case type level, and you can edit it on an individual case level as well.  
• Advanced Analytics - Visualize firm, group, and individual performance to help boost productivity and efficiency. Forecast settlements, analyze historical trends, and perform advanced calculations to inform data-driven business decisions, all from existing Neos data.
• NeosAI - Create AI-driven documents that capture relevant information from various sources, such as audio, video, and images, and insert them into your case files.
• 12 Robust Integrations – Neos users can now access LawToolBox, LegalSoft, Nuance Dragon Legal Anywhere, YoCierge, and more without leaving Neos!

Launched Neos Advanced Analytics

In May, Assembly announced the launch of our groundbreaking analytics product, Advanced Analytics. This new product revolutionizes how your firm maximizes your business profitability. Powered by a lake of historical firm data, Advanced Analytics visualizes firm, group, and individual performance to help boost productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Announced NeosAI

This year, we added 12 new third-party integrations, including LawToolBox, Nuance Dragon Legal Anywhere, YoCierge, and more!  

• LawToolBox is a cloud-based calendaring solution that provides real-time deadlines across the US and Canada for law firms and legal departments of any size. 
• Nuance Dragon Legal Anywhere is a cutting-edge cloud-hosted speech recognition solution that empowers legal professionals to create high-quality documentation effortlessly and efficiently by harnessing the power of their voice. 
• YoCierge provides efficient record retrieval software and staff support, enabling law firms to boost productivity, handle more cases, and enhance client satisfaction through the YoCierge online portal or Neos.

Launched Neos University

Time to get certified! Our new, fully online courses help you learn everything you need to know about Neos. Since we announced the certification program, over 1,600 customers have enrolled, and over 780 are certified! (Over 4,510 hours of training provided completely free of charge!)

It is incredibly satisfying to receive recognition from others for the dedicated/judicious work we put into Neos over the past year. Our software has been acknowledged as a best-in-class solution, winning the “Practice Management Innovation of The Year” award at the 2023 LegalTech Breakthrough Awards.







We are proud to add this award to our collection, which includes the “Case Management Innovation of the Year” award from the 2022 LegalTech Breakthrough Awards. These accolades are a testament to the hard work of our Product and Technology teams, and we are thrilled that they are receiving such public commendations. 



Earned G2 and Gartner "Leader" badges

Neos also received top honors in Summer, Fall, and Winter 2023 G2 Reports and was recognized as a “Leader” in multiple categories incuding Legal Case Management and Law Practice Management. Gartner acknowledged Neos across three platforms: Software Advice, Capterra, and GetApp. These badges reflect Neos’ commitment to providing innovative and user-friendly case management software to the legal industry.

We’ve received an overwhelming number of positive responses from our customers about their experiences with Neos. With over 260 testimonials and several new customer stories, our NPS (net-promoter score) is at an all-time high, well above industry averages.

As we reflect on the past year, we are thrilled to celebrate some of the incredible milestones we've reached.
